For over 30 years
Islington Somali Community has been supporting Somalis living, working or studying in the
London Borough of Islington
ISC provides advice and information about welfare rights, education, employment, healthcare and other essential services. We also deliver projects for all ages including youth work and services for older people.
Somalis in Islington face many challenges around integration and inequalities. ISC works to overcome language barriers, poor housing, lack of childcare and high
unemployment.
Over the years, residents' needs have changed and we have developed new services
providing targeted mental health support, health education sessions, a
supplementary school for young children and much more.
